Ever lost your cool over something as small as socks on the floor or spilled milk on the counter? You love your kids endlessly, but sometimes the tiniest things push you over the edge. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Parenting stretches our nervous systems in ways no one prepares us for. One minute you’re overflowing with love and patience, the next you’re overwhelmed and wondering what happened. The truth is, parenting doesn’t just challenge us; it also stirs up different sides of us. Some days the calm, playful part shows up, and other days it’s the stressed, snappy part. Both are human, and both deserve compassion.

This workshop is here to help you understand those shifts and give you real tools to navigate them.

By joining us, you will:

✨ Finally understand why little things can feel so big (spoiler: it’s your nervous system, not your lack of patience).
✨ Learn about the Window of Tolerance, a simple, powerful framework for stress and overwhelm.
✨ Try a guided practice to “listen inward” so you can notice your own thoughts, feelings, body cues—and the “parts” of you that show up in parenting moments.
✨ Walk away with practical strategies to bring yourself back to steadiness when overwhelm hits.

This workshop creates space for reflection, insight, and strategies that can help you approach both yourself and your children with more curiosity, compassion, and steadiness—without the pressure of perfection.

Kind Boundaries

Saying No Without the Guilt

You care deeply about others—you want to be kind, supportive, and easy to lean on.

But maybe you’ve noticed a pattern:
Someone asks for your help, and your body tenses even as your mouth says “yes.” You keep the peace instead of voicing what you need, hoping the feeling will pass. Or you agree to something, only to feel a flicker of resentment—then guilt for feeling that way.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many caring, thoughtful people struggle with boundaries because they don’t want to let others down.

That’s exactly why we created this one-hour virtual workshop to help you say no without second-guessing yourself and to create space for your own needs and your relationships.

Think of boundaries as a gentle form of self-care, like giving both you and the people in your life clearer, kinder roadmaps.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

✨ Notice the signals that a boundary could actually strengthen your relationship.
✨ Communicate a boundary in simple, respectful ways (spoiler: they don’t have to sound harsh or mean!).
✨ Understand why guilt or fear shows up—and how to work with it, not against it.
✨ Take small, doable steps to soothe the discomfort that sometimes comes after saying no.
✨ Stay grounded and kind, even if someone doesn’t love your answer.

By the end, you’ll leave with practical strategies and a little more ease in your back pocket—so you can care for others without abandoning yourself.

Have you ever wondered how to stay connected to your partner without losing yourself? Or felt unsure about how much closeness is “too much” or “not enough”? You’re not alone.

This in-person workshop is all about unpacking the messages we’ve been taught about what relationships should look like and giving you permission to figure out what actually works for you. We’ll explore how cultural norms shape our ideas about closeness and independence, and why it’s okay (and important!) to create your own relationship rules.

You’ll walk away with:

✨ A better understanding of how cultural messages may be shaping your relationship expectations
✨ Tools to explore and communicate your own needs around closeness and independence
✨ Strategies for navigating differences with your partner(s) including when needs shift over time

*Community Giving Workshops operate on a by donation basis. All donations go to the Pregnancy and Infancy Loss Support Centre (PILSC). All donations can be made at www.https://pilsc.org/donate-to-pilsc/. Please include ‘Risewell’ in the note message when making donations.
