Who I Help
Those Who Want More Than Surviving
Your past feels like it still lives with you. Sometimes it’s so present, it’s hard to separate who you are now from what you’ve been through. You’ve survived overwhelming experiences and learned clever ways to protect yourself, such as staying in control, keeping others at a distance, or shutting off your feelings altogether.
But deep down, you long for more than just surviving. You want to feel whole, safe in your own skin, and free to live without old wounds dictating every step. Even though part of you wonders if that’s possible, another part knows you’re ready to face your story and begin writing a new chapter.
Quiet Voices, Loud Feelings
You often feel misunderstood or even like you don’t fully understand yourself. Speaking up feels risky: what if your words don’t matter, or worse, what if you’re “too much”? To keep the peace, you let the little things slide… until suddenly it doesn’t feel so little anymore, and the anger bubbles up in ways you didn’t expect.
Sometimes you feel everything so intensely it aches in your bones, and other times you feel nothing at all, leaving you wondering if something’s wrong. You’re tired of being stuck in that cycle. You want to feel grounded in your own voice and learn to respond from a place of strength, instead of being swept up in silence or reaction.
The ‘You’ Beneath the Busy
Life has a way of piling on expectations: mother, daughter, friend, partner, professional. To everyone else, you seem like you’ve got it handled, but inside, you can feel the distance from your true self. Somewhere along the way, pieces of you got lost in the noise of doing it all.
You’re craving a space where you can pause, turn inward, and remember who you are beneath the roles. A space to trust yourself again, to find clarity, and to feel at peace with whatever life brings your way.
How I Help
You Deserve to Feel Safe and Grounded
You want to feel safe and confident again. You want to trust yourself, your body, and the world around you. It’s time to explore the life experiences that have shaped you and understand how they influence the way you relate to yourself and others. You’ve carried so much, and it’s time to feel lighter, steadier, and more at home within yourself.
Therapy that Moves with You
At the heart of our work is our connection. I strive to create a space where all of your parts—protective, wounded, or hopeful—can show up and be met with curiosity, compassion, and sometimes a little humour. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you, slowing down when needed to honour the experiences you bring and allowing room for discovery, reflection, and healing.
You can expect moments of gentle challenge, moments of discomfort, and moments of deep relief. We’ll hold space for the difficult emotions, the celebrations, and everything in between. I pay close attention to what your body and emotions are telling you, helping you reconnect with yourself, build trust in your own wisdom, and feel more grounded in your life.
Therapies I use in my work: Internal Family Systems (Parts Work), Somatic Psychotherapy, Attachment-Based Approaches, Trauma-Informed Care, Mindfulness, Transpersonal & Experiential Practices.
A Little About Me
A Little Backstory
My journey to becoming a therapist was sparked by my own life experiences of trauma and feeling deeply misunderstood by most of my support systems. I struggled even to understand myself. I am passionate about creating a non-judgmental space for people to gain insight and heal deeply. I know how hard it is to be vulnerable in the presence of another person, and I always feel honoured when someone trusts me to hold that space for them.
When I’m Not in Session
Outside the office, I have a wonderful husband and two energetic little people who bring joy and learning opportunities into our lives. I always find time and space for creativity in my life and enjoy constantly engaging in new projects. My creative interests include working with leather, beading, crocheting, sewing, wood whittling, and gardening.
