Who I Help
Women Trying to Do It All
You’re a high-achieving, self-aware woman, balancing work, family, and all the responsibilities that come with being someone who others often depend on. You probably excel at what you do—whether you're running a home, managing a team, or holding down a leadership role—but behind the scenes, there’s a persistent feeling of being overwhelmed, burned out, or simply disconnected from yourself.
You push through because you have high expectations of yourself, but deep down, you know there’s something missing. You’ve learned a lot about things like self-care, mindfulness or even boundaries, but despite your best efforts, something still feels stuck.
The Caretakers
You’re great at taking care of others, whether it’s in your role as a mom, partner, friend, or leader, but when it comes to connecting with your own needs, it’s hard to even know where to begin.
You’re feeling the physical signs of burnout—exhaustion, tension, trouble sleeping, or constant stress—but pausing to feel what’s going on inside your body feels foreign. You want to listen to your inner wisdom, but it’s like there’s always something else to do, someone else to care for first, and you’re not sure how to apply what you know to your own life.
Those Looking to Reconnect with Themselves
You’ve carried a lot—loss, transitions, big emotions—and somewhere along the way, you’ve lost touch with yourself. The pressure to keep going, to keep up, has made it hard to notice what you’re truly feeling inside. You want more: more clarity, more peace, more connection to your body and emotions. You long for space to pause, to feel, and to remember who you are beyond all the doing.
How I Help
You Deserve Joy and Peace
You’re ready to reconnect with your emotions, create inner harmony, and break free from the patterns that have left you feeling burned out and overwhelmed. Together, we’ll focus on helping you move toward what brings you joy, peace, and a sense of alignment in both your relationships and daily life.
Therapy Rooted in Connection
At the heart of my approach is connection. Healing happens in relationships, and the one we build together is just as important as the tools or strategies we use. I work relationally, which means therapy isn’t something that happens to you—it’s something we create together.
My style is soft-spoken and calm—I’ll sit with you in the depths of your struggles and celebrate your moments of growth. In our sessions, I want you to feel at ease—kick off your shoes, sip a cup of tea, and settle in. It’s not about me sitting back and only asking, “How does that make you feel?” (though we’ll explore that too!). Instead, I’ll be actively engaged—listening deeply, reflecting on what I notice, and offering perspectives that can help you see yourself more clearly. Sometimes I’ll guide; other times, I’ll follow your lead. What matters most is that you feel seen, understood, and supported in a way that feels real and meaningful.
There’s no one-size-fits-all here. With a trauma-informed, individualized approach, we’ll draw on the practices that best support your healing, prevent future burnout, and create lasting change while honouring both your ambition and your need for rest.
Therapies I use in my work: Internal Family Systems (parts work), Hakomi Therapy, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Mindfulness
A Little About Me
A Little Backstory
As the founder of Risewell Psychology, my journey into this field was deeply personal. My own experiences with loss, pain, and healing sparked a desire to create a safe, compassionate space for others to find their own paths to wellness. I consider it a profound privilege to witness my clients' stories and hold their experiences with sacred tenderness.
When I’m Not in Session
Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me doing something around the practice (I’m still working on finding that sweet spot between ambition and rest!). For the past decade, I’ve been teaching spin classes because they make me feel alive and energized. I’m married to my best friend, and we have twin boys and a daughter together, who definitely keep me on my toes. My ideal morning starts with a hot coffee, a walk in the crisp Calgary air, and my loyal pup, Rylee, by my side.
