The holidays are coming and instead of excitement, you’re feeling dread about having to experience events without your person. To you, there will be a hole in every holiday party, every tradition, and no amount of eggnog is going to fill it. You don’t want to put on an act and pretend like you’re okay, when all you want to do is scream because everyone is so happy, but you don’t understand how they can be so happy when your loved one is gone.
In this in-person workshop, we’ll talk through why the holidays may feel especially difficult, no matter how long it's been since your loss. We’ll plan for what you can do in specific situations to protect yourself and your grieving journey, and also consider ways that you can still honour your loved ones in a way that's authentic.
In this in-person workshop, you will walk away with:
A greater understanding of grief, and why it feels like you enter a whole new season of grief once the weather turns cold
Permission to grieve, feel your loss, and a plan for how you can stay connected to your loved one during this time
A consideration of situations where grief may feel especially hard, and what you can you do in the moment to support yourself
Spaces are limited. Reserve your spot now!
Many of our Community Giving Workshops are free to attend, but donations are welcome. All donations—no matter how big or small—go directly to supporting the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre, a charity that provides no-cost support for those who have experienced pregnancy loss, the loss of a child, or infertility.
Please include “Risewell” in the message line.
