Do you ever get swept up by your emotions? Or maybe you tend to shove them aside altogether. Most of us spend a lot of time avoiding, overthinking, or trying to control our feelings, but what if we could just let them exist, without needing to logic them away or push them down?

In this in-person workshop, we’ll talk about why it’s so hard to stay present with emotions, what’s happening in our bodies and brains when feelings come up, and why trying to “think your way out” usually doesn’t work. We’ll normalize all of it (because struggling with feelings is…well, human), and then we’ll try out a few ways to gently experiment with actually feeling your feelings.

In this in-person workshop, you will walk away with:

  • A new way of looking at emotions: why they can feel overwhelming and why avoiding them usually backfires

  • A simple, body-and-brain-friendly understanding of what’s happening when feelings get big

  • Gentle, practical ways to actually be with your emotions without having to “fix” them

Spaces are limited. Reserve your spot now!

Many of our Community Giving Workshops are free to attend, but donations are welcome. All donations—no matter how big or small—go directly to supporting the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre, a charity that provides no-cost support for those who have experienced pregnancy loss, the loss of a child, or infertility.

Please include “Risewell” in the message line.
