Who I Help
Those Looking to Grow After Loss
Philosopher Kierkegaard claimed that grief is the most selfless act of love because it is the only form of love that cannot be reciprocated. This idea resonates with you deeply because you carry so much love for your person after loss. Now, you’re carrying this love on your own. You don’t know how to go forward, or if you want to.
You want to talk about your person without the room going quiet, or people not knowing what to say or how to talk to you. It’s that experience that makes you feel like the world moved on too fast after your loved one passed. You’re seeking a place where you can talk about all the diverse feelings that come with grief: guilt, shame, fear, anger, maybe even relief, without feeling silenced, judged, or that you’re grieving ‘wrong’.
Together, we make space for your grief in all its complexity, so you can stay connected to your loved one while finding a way to carry your life forward authentically.
Young Adults Seeking to Untangle Relationship Patterns
“Why do I keep going back to the same toxic ex?”
“Why am I drawn to people who hurt me?”
“Is this relationship really what I want, or am I just comfortable?”
You’ve had one or all of these questions lingering in the back of your mind, and you want answers.
Your goal is to better your relationships and know what to look for to find meaningful connections and a good match for you. You find yourself drawn to the same patterns in relationships that aren’t serving you anymore, or are realizing that maybe these routines never served you at all. You want to break these patterns so that your new relationship can blossom in a healthy way, so you can find the right partner for you, or so you can finally move forward.
In our work together, we slow things down and look at what’s underneath those patterns. We build clarity around what you need, what you value, and what a healthy, fulfilling relationship looks like for you, so you can continue with more confidence and intention.
Those Hoping to Find Themselves Again
Life has been full of responsibilities, roles, and expectations. You’ve been showing up for everyone and everything, but somewhere along the way, you lost a clear sense of yourself You’re a Mom looking to establish her identity among this new role, a new grad unsure of what comes next after dropping the “student” label, or you just got out of a long-term relationship and you’re looking to identify yourself within your newfound independence.
You can’t remember the last time you paused long enough to ask what you actually wanted.
There’s a sense that something needs to shift but slowing down feels unfamiliar, and you’re not sure where to start. In the go, go, go of every day, you want to understand yourself on a deeper level, and think critically to challenge your thoughts in new ways to gain insight into yourself.
Together, we create room for reflection, curiosity, and honest exploration, so you can reconnect with who you are, understand what matters to you, and begin making choices that feel aligned with the life you want.
How I Help
Your Voice Deserves to Be Heard
There are things you’ve been carrying that don’t always have a place in your day-to-day life. Therapy gives you space to talk about what’s really going on, to put words to experiences that feel hard to explain, and to begin making sense of it all. Together, we slow things down so you can connect with your thoughts and emotions in a way that feels manageable and meaningful.
Support That Meets You Where You Are
My approach is rooted in curiosity and care. I take time to understand all parts of your story and recognize the diverse ways that your values, culture, and identity shape how you see the world. We might explore patterns that feel hard to break, gently work through difficult emotions, and notice how your experiences live not just in your thoughts, but in your body too. Sessions with me tend to feel open, reflective, and down-to-earth, with space for honesty, emotion, and moments of humour. Together, we work toward helping you feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in your choices, and more able to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Therapies I use in my work: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy
A Little About Me
A Little Backstory
It might sound cliché, but I’ve always been drawn to this work. From a young age, I found myself being the person others opened up to, and I came to really value the kind of connection that comes from being heard and understood.
Over time, my own experiences with grief, loss, and life’s unexpected challenges deepened that understanding. I began to notice how often certain topics are left unspoken or avoided altogether. Those are the conversations I care most about creating space for, where things can be explored honestly, and where meaning can start to take shape.
When I’m Not in Session
Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me spending time with my partner, getting lost in a good book, at the gym, or out for a walk. I value connection in my own life too, so if I’m not with friends or family, I’m probably catching up with them on the phone.
Since I’ve moved to Calgary, I love exploring what the city has to offer (coffee shop recommendations are always welcome) and getting out to the mountains when I can.
